Catholics Returning Home

HAVE YOU BEEN AWAY FROM THE CATHOLIC CHURCH FOR A LONG WHILE?

DO YOU THINK ABOUT COMING BACK BUT DON'T KNOW HOW OR WHERE TO BEGIN?

DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT HAS CHANGED WHILE YOU WERE AWAY?

ARE YOU STILL ANGRY OR HURT FOR THE REASONS YOU LEFT?

St. Michael Parish invites you to attend our CATHOLICS RETURNING HOME program.  It consists of six informal evening sessions where past participants, parish members and parish clergy will try to answer you questions and welcome you back to God, our faith, and the Church.  Meetings take place at St. Michael's in the Parlor/Bride's Room.

This program is open to all non-practicing Catholics.  Spread the word.  Invite a friend, a relative or co-worker.  All it might take is a simple invitation.

For more information contact Mary Bohus (330-499-9850) or mbohus@sbcglobal.net, Mike Fenstemaker (330-280-1670) or Ginger Griesen (330-492-3119 ext 10).

Coordinator is Sister Carol McHenry, SND (330-392-2034).

PRAYER OF THOMAS MERTON

My Lord God,
I have no idea where I am going.
I do not see the road ahead of me.
I cannot know for certain where it will end.
Nor do I really know myself,
and the fact that I think
that I am following Your will,
does not mean that I am actually doing so.

But I believe that the desire to please You
does-in-fact please You.
And I hope that I have that desire
in all that I am doing.
I hope that I will never do anything
apart from that desire.

And I know that if I do this,
You will lead me by the right road
though I may know nothing about it.
Therefore, will I trust You always
though I may seem to be lost
and in the shadow of death.
I will not fear, for You are ever with me
and You will never leave me
to face my perils alone.

Amen.
