In the year 2000, Fr. Brad Helman suggested that parishioners get involved in “Small Faith Communities” throughout the parish. Groups were often made up of married or single people or a combination of both. Inside one such group of single Catholics, some rumblings began about the need for a social singles group comprised of mature singles over 40 years of age, not the bar scene type nor the bus tour type, but a group of faith-centered, busy, active, professionals who wanted to spend some time with like individuals. 

The group was organized in six months time by three parishioners, and still exists today. There have been two “faithful” marriages that were born in the group to date, and lots and lots of fun that happens each Saturday night throughout the year. It is a warm and welcoming group.
