Sacrificial Giving
Dear Friends,
When Catholics hear the word stewardship, often a red flag goes up which signals a negative response: “It’s time for the pastor to ask us for money again.” If this is your reaction, I ask you to broaden your understanding to appreciate that stewardship involves a lot more than money.
Stewardship is a way of life; a way of discipleship; a way of following Jesus more intensely, which promises its own reward. Stewardship is a daily spirituality that enables us to boldly live the Gospel and to proudly share the Good News of Jesus with others. Stewardship is our wholehearted involvement in our Church community and our effort to influence our community for the better.
Once each year we ask you to make a financial commitment to your parish. This is the time. Your stated intention enables us to plan our budget for the future. I thank you for what you have done in the past and I ask your continued support for the coming year. God bless you for your effort.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Fr. Brad
