AFF 2013 Parish Mission

"Light The World with the Fire of Faith"

This year has been proclaimed by Pope Benedict a year of faith.   Will the year come and go with no change for us individually?  Much of that depends on our own desire to reawaken our faith.   We are invited to take our baptismal promise, and live it more faithfully, to let our faith engage our lives, and to share that faith with others.

This year’s parish mission, was presented by Reverend Thomas Dragga, provided us with one opportunity for the transformation awaiting us if we embrace our faith fully.     The parish mission was held in the middle of the Lenten season, from Sunday, March 10th through Tuesday, March 12th.  With attendance averaging about 150 people per night the Mission was well recieved and considered a great experience by those who attended. The following photos show both the mission and the fellowship which followed each evenings presentation.

As we approach lent, think FIRE:

F:  Faith – alive

I:   Inspiration for personal transformation

R:  Reconciliation in the communion of the faithful, the People of God

E:  Engagement – reaching out to others to share the faith that makes a difference

Save the dates, March 10th 11th and 12th, 7:00 PM, in the church to hear how God’s love can fan the fire of our faith and spread over into our everyday lives.
