Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

Have you ever thought of becoming Catholic?

We need Jesus’ presence more than ever to help us endure our trials and have the grace to move forward on our journey. This might just be the time Jesus is calling you to follow Him and begin that journey in the Catholic way of life. The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) is a process for welcoming and initiating adults into the Catholic Church. The program is open to all persons, regardless of religious background, who seek to live their lives in the Catholic faith. OCIA welcomes people who have never been baptized, as well as adults baptized in another Christian tradition who wish to become Roman Catholics.

OCIA is a process designed to prepare adults to come into full initiation of the Catholic Church and be a part of Jesus’ loving community of St. Michael and the universal Catholic Church. St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church is a welcoming community of faith, and is here to support you as you share your story with us to come to believe in the person of Jesus Christ. We invite you to ask your questions about this process, and to explore the beauty of sacred Scripture and Catholic tradition to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
